KYAL

For most of our Folkestone RC athletes, this was their first competition and they all did brilliantly, coping well with the newness of it all.

There were lots of pb's (personal bests) with everyone getting at least one pb. There were also 2 FRC club records broken and one equalled, under 13 boy Victor was well ahead of the opposition, to win and break the club 100m record in 13.0.

The under 15 girls javelin FRC club record was broken by Rae with a throw of 20.10m and Hannah equalled the u15 girls high jump record of 1.35m set in 2017 and this after only one high jump lesson.

The under 13 girls of Abigail, Olivia S, Lily, Caitlin and Emily L did amazingly coming 3rd against some very strong clubs, all achieved pb's in their events.

The under 13 boys of Victor, Eliy, Simi and Nico performed brilliantly, also all gaining pb's to achieve 5th place out of 8.

We came overall 7th out of 8 in division 1, in a very strong division and this with only one under 15 boy representing the club, George who smashed his pb by 30 seconds.

And the only club in division 1 without a track. (yet).

The day was finished off with relays in the 4 x 100m Isobel, Lilly-Ella and Hannah were joined by a Paddock Wood team mate Megan,

In the last relays of the day we were treated to a very exciting win for our 4 x 300m relay girls.

We were in second place after 2 legs, very strongly run by Lilly-Ella and Hannah, the baton was then passed to Olivia E who stormed passed the leader and held on to pass to sister Emily E on the last leg, Emily held off a fast Medway girl, running strongly to win!

We are very proud of all of the athlete's who took part!

Results will be out shortly on the KCAA and the Power of 10 websites.

The next match is 5th June at Sutcliffe Park, details will be out shortly.
