Welcome to Folkestone Junior Athletics Club

We need your help!! Our athletics track is, fingers crossed, now in the last few months of construction and the Cheriton Road Sports Ground Trust have launched a crowdfunding page to enable them to provide a fully equipped and accessible Athletic Track that can provide accessible track and field opportunities and sessions to all ages and abilities - To ensure support from Kent County Council, this can be anything from £1 upwards, every little helps!

The Folkestone Juniors has been rapidly growing over the years due to popular demand for athletics in Folkestone and the surrounding areas.  Dedicated club coaches have the main aim to support the children of the club to achieve their goals.

The Folkestone Junior Athletics  cater for Primary School (Year 1) and Secondary School children using different levels of coaching to support each childs growth.  We practice all track and field, sportshall and crosscountry events year round both outside and in weather dependent.

At the club we will be running an achievement program so the children can aim towards British Athletics awards and badges.

We have regular competitions throughout the year.  We put together teams of all abilities and ages to give children the chance to experience a friendly competition environment.  They can use their skills they have learnt at training to try and achieve personal bests.

We are in partnership with Folkestone Running Club.

Covid - 19

We ask that if your child is at all unwell or has a persistent cough and/or high temperature we ask that you keep them off club until they have completely recovered – or have carried out the full 14day isolation from club.

We ask that each child brings along their own sanitiser and pack of tissues that can be kept with their water bottles.

We will be taking the temperature of your child at drop off and we ask that you stay with your child until this has taken place, if they have a high temperature they will not be able to take part for the health and safety of our athletes and coaches.

We ask that parents/carers wear a face mask during drop off/pick up times and additionally if they are in the area whilst the session is taking place. We ask that you keep 2m apart during the temperature check and registration process.
